Dierk König works as a senior software developer, mentor, and coach for Canoo Engineering AG, Basel, Switzerland. He is committer to the open-source projects Groovy and Grails, and project manager of Canoo WebTest. Dierk speaks at international conferences and publishes in leading software magazines. He also wrote Manning's best-seller: Groovy in Action.
Guillaume is the Groovy Project Manager and Spec Lead of JSR-241, the Java Specification Request standardizing the Groovy dynamic language. Along with Graeme Rocher, he founded G2One, Inc., the company dedicated to sustaining and leading the development of both Groovy / Grails and providing professional services (expertise, consulting, support and training) around those technologies.
In November 2008, their company was acquired by SpringSource, as Groovy and Grails bring additional weapons to the SpringSource portfolio to fight the war on Enterprise Java complexity.
You can meet Guillaume at conferences around the world where he evangelizes the Groovy dynamic language, Domain-Specific Languages in Groovy, and the agile Grails web framework. Guillaume co-authored Manning's best-seller Groovy in Action along with Dierk.
Graeme Rocher is the project lead and co-founder of the Grails web application framework. He's a member of the JSR-241 Expert Group which standardizes the Groovy language. Graeme authored the Definitive Guide to Grails for Apress and is a frequent speaker at JavaOne, JavaPolis, NoFluffJustStuff, JAOO, the Sun TechDays and more.
Before founding G2One, Inc., Graeme was the CTO of SkillsMatter, a skills transfer company specializing in Open Source technology and agile software development, where Graeme was in charge of the company's courseware development strategy and general technical direction. After SpringSource acquired G2One, Graeme is now the Head of Grails Development.
Jim Shingler is Chief Technical Architect for Big Lots, Inc. and President of Genuine Solutions, Inc. The focus of his career has been using leading-edge technology to develop IT solutions for the insurance, financial services, manufacturing, and Retail industries. He has 11 years of large-scale Java experience and significant experience in distributed and relational technologies.
Jim is Co-Founder of FallME, Inversion of Control for JavaME, and a Griffon Plugin contributor. Jim recently published Beginning Groovy and Grails at Apress.
Paul King leads ASERT, an organisation based in Brisbane, Australia which provides software development, training and mentoring services to customers wanting to embrace new technologies, harness best practices and innovate.
He has been contributing to open source projects for nearly 20 years and is an active committer on numerous projects including Groovy. Paul speaks at international conferences, publishes in software magazines and journals, and is a co-author of Manning's best-seller: Groovy in Action.
